Out of Town Buyer

George Van De Walle is an absolute pleasure to work with.  

Moving from North West Territories in the year of Covid-19 added one more challenge to finding a new home.  We were unable to travel south to look at options in the traditional way because of a two-week isolation requirement upon return to the Territory.  George worked with us, and we trusted his judgement regarding properties of interest.  He was patient with requests to see rural properties scattered across three counties.  He put together listings of target properties and then also ran through sale comparisons when got to a point of making an offer.  I really appreciated the fact that he was willing to walk away from negotiations if the seller had expectations that were not in line with the market information.

In the end, we did some virtual touring and my daughter who lives in the Edmonton area did some on site visits to narrow the choices.  We bought a great place in Strathcona County without ever having set foot inside.  Buying a house and moving is a big investment, not just in terms of dollars but in time and effort.  This is a testament to George that we were comfortable to trust his judgement.  He is the kind of man who would rather meet eye to eye to have a conversation and then shake hands at the end, with grounded genuine integrity.

I have no hesitation in recommending George to anyone buying or selling.
